Keeping Your Manual Relevant

Nothing is worse than a manual that is useless. Follow these tips to keep your manual relevant and useful.

Add Content Regularly

As the needs of your users change, update your manual. Create new lessons. Add new chapters. ScreenSteps makes all of this very easy. One practice that we like to follow is to answer any new support question by adding a new lesson to our manual. This help our users and allows our manual to grow as we need it to.

Point Users to Your Manual For Answers

The best way to get people to use your manual is to point them to it. If they have a question, send them a link to the lesson in your manual that answers their specific need. They will really appreciate it and you will spend less time answering questions.
