Create a Manual and Stub Out Your Lessons

Before you post anything to ScreenSteps Live you will want to create a manual and stub out some lessons. You are going to do all of this in your ScreenSteps Desktop application.

Create a Manual

Create_a_manual_display

Open your ScreenSteps software and select New Manual.

Name the Manual

Name_the_manual_display

Name the Default Chapter

Name_the_default_chapter_display

By default a chapter heading will be created. Chapter headings are just ways to organize your lessons. If you aren't sure what to call it yet use a name like "Getting Started", or "Tips and Tricks". You can always change it later.

Add Lessons

Add_lessons_display

Select New Lesson to add lessons to your chapters.

Title Your Lesson

Title_your_lesson_display

Give your lesson a good title that will help you focus your content. We suggest that to start with you list 5-10 of the top questions to receive. Name your lessons with those questions.

Here I have added several lessons to the chapter with titles that will help me write short, clear answers. You can always add more chapters and reorganize lessons later.
