How do I Create a Custom Template?
Go to Custom Templates Screen
Login to your account and go to select Account > Custom Templates menu item.
Select Create a Custom Template
Enter Title and Create
You can name the template whatever you would like.
Paste in HTML Code
Paste in the HTML code for your template and select Update.
Next Steps
You will now need to apply your template to your Space before you can see your changes.

Also watch the video, very clear and simple (I hope). Just want to know - because in the video it was mentioned to get rid of all javascripts - if it is possible to add web traffic tracking code like statcounter?
Adding something like stat counter should work fine.
I am going to update this lesson on Monday to show a little bit easier way of handling the stylesheets and including some javascript in the template to make sure that the ajax functionality works.

If the only item I want to add to the standard template I copy/paste the page source of that and add the tracking code?
Will give it a try, finding my feet around (only 1 day in ;-))

That should work. I put together a quick example of using the default template. I posted the file here:

Just view the source on it and copy and paste the text. You will want to update the logo graphic that is being referenced, as well as the company title, etc.
