How to Mark a Manual as Procedural
Procedural manuals prepend a number to each chapter and lesson. They are designed for manuals that document more complex operations that span several lessons. For example, if you new account set up process for the application you are documenting is somewhat complex you might split it over many lessons and create a procedural manual. Below is an example of what the table of contents would look like for a procedural manual.




What is the chapter expansion for? I've tried each option and it appears to make no difference.
Chapter expansion affects whether chapters are expanded or collapsed by default in the sidebar when people are viewing a lesson.
